Description: Prior to the advent of liposuction surgery, body contouring required complicated operations with large incisions and deformities. With the advent of this safe procedure, and utilizing a small cannula, we can effectively eliminate fatty bulges that are resistant to dieting and intensive exercise programs. We have developed suction cannulas that are extremely small and efficient, and require only ¼ inch incision. The excess fat is suctioned out under high pressure and there is absolutely no danger of any injury to muscle or nerve tissues.

LIPOSCULPTING

FACE LIPOSCULPTING - The most common area for liposuction is the fatty accumulations in the neck, beneath the chin. A small incision is made in the crease below the chin and fine cannulas are inserted to remove all the fat from the neck area. For individuals who have prominent puffy cheeks I can remove the fat from these areas through two small incisions inside the mouth.

BODY LIPOSCULPTING - Most women have areas of the body that are resistant to diet and exercise. The most common areas in body liposuction for women are the abdomen “love handles,” buttocks, hips, inner and outer thighs, calves, knees and ankles. Liposculpting can significantly increase the appearance of these areas. Lipsculption/Liposuction also has proven to be very effective for men as well. The chest, abdomen, and “love handles” are most common areas to be treated.

FAT TRANSPLANT - It is also possible to place fat in areas such as facial lines, dimples, scars, etc. The fat that is removed by liposuction is then reinjected through a specially designed injector to fill-in defects of the face, and body. There is no rejection factor in fat transplant surgery since it's the patient's own fat. The only question for each individual patient is how much of the fat remains. In the thousands of cases performed, there have been no complications related to this procedure.

Liposuction is unquestionably the best way to remove unwanted fatty bulges that resist diet and exercise. Of course, it cannot prevent further weight gain due to dietary abuse. Fortunately, this new weight gain is usually better distributed and no longer localized in the treated areas. Because we have a fixed number of fat cells, once these excess fat cells are removed from the specific areas by liposuction, these is less opportunity for these areas to re-accumulate fat.
